The Baby Taylor guitar is an exquisite guitar, which really brings out Taylor Guitars attention to detail and craftsmanship that we all have known about and cared for throughout the years. They certainly cut no corners in the crafting of the Baby Taylor, a smaller version of their famous full sized acoustic.

Taylor has been around for a long time and has done some great things, being one of the leading companies in the world when it comes to making premium quality acoustic, as well as electric guitars, so when I got my hands on this thing I knew I wasn’t going to get anything shoddy in return

The Baby Taylor BT2 features a solid Mahogany top, 3/4 Size Dreadnought, Sapele Back and Sides, an Ebony Fretboard with a 22 and 3/4 scale with 19 frets, Enclosed, Die Cast Chrome Plated tuning heads, an adjustable truss, and a black gig bag. It plays smooth and comfortable, making it easy for someone just learning or for someone who has some experience with the instrument.

Baby Taylor is only three quarters the size of a regular acoustic guitar, which makes it absolutely perfect for someone who is traveling, for a younger player, or for someone that just doesn’t like large bulky acoustic guitars. The size also surprisingly doesn’t seem to take away from its very full tone, which was very interesting to me. Though I don’t build guitars for a living either, so I stake no claim as to its craftsmanship.

The sound is very full and lush, not tinny or dry, like a lot of other brands that are in this price range and lower. The Mahogany produces a very clear and mid saturated tone which is very warm to the ears. The laminate back and sides really help the tone resonate, as well, which really puts this guitar into a class of its own without a doubt. Do not be fooled by its small size, the Baby Taylor will measure to up to any full size instrument of similar quality.

The only thing I didn’t like about it was the price, but in comparing a lot of other instruments around the same price range, I came to find that indeed this instrument measures beyond the others in terms of quality, playability, and tone, without being overly expensive. All in all it is worth the money I would say, though if you were looking to get a child into playing guitar I would definitely recommend a cheaper acoustic guitar to start with.

I wanted a solid acoustic guitar to learn on and I wasn’t sure how well I’d take to the instrument – I’ve played a few instruments in the past, but never took the time to really learn the guitar. I love the sound of the Epiphone DR-100 acoustic guitar, and this one for the low price was a surprise – the sound is incredible and I’ve enjoyed learning the basics here. Being able to learn slowly and coax the sound from the strings has been a painstaking process, but I’m finally seeing the results.

A friend of mine, the guy that got me started on the guitar did notice a little buzzing, but it’s very minimal and doesn’t affect the overall tone and quality of the sound this Epiphone acoustic guitar has been able to produce. Since I’m new to acoustic guitar, I didn’t notice the buzzing, but after he pointed it out and I really listened for it, I could pick it out, but most people wouldn’t even notice it.

When I told my buddy how much I paid for this, he was stunned – he honestly had thought I paid three to four times as much. He knows I’m always looking for a bargain and even he was surprised at the good deal I score on this beauty.

This has been a great adventure – learning how to play the guitar. This Epiphone acoustic guitar has such a good feel – a good vibe to it, it’s just a good way to chill out after a long day, being able to sit outside and enjoy the cool breeze and play my guitar, it’s given me a little something extra to look forward to at the end of the day. I’m one of those people who are constantly learning new things and because I have so many hobbies and interests, it’s hard to nail down my favorite, but playing this guitar is quickly becoming what I really love to do.

I may not have a huge amount of talent, but being able to indulge my creative passion and being able to challenge myself to learn something new has been good. What I love best about the Epiphone acoustic guitar has to be the note clarity – the sound is fairly clean and a little crisp – it makes it easier on a beginner to learn how to play and develop their style – I know it’s been so much fun learning on this DR-100 guitar and being able to get such a deal was fantastic, I didn’t realize what a good deal it was until my buddy told me. A very snug fit for my guitar, the Snark Tuner is a solid, dependable guitar tuner. I had my buddy give it a try and he had just as good of results as I have had over the past couple months of using it. Sometimes it’s hard for me to hear the slight flat tone my guitar often produces, but having a tuner that’s so easy to work with and accurate makes it a lot easier on someone like me, that doesn’t have the gift of finding the perfect pitch on the first try.

The Snark tuner has an easy to read digital readout, even works in bright natural light. I like to play outside on the beach when I head out camping with my friends and it works well, even in some of the humid climates we’ve camped in. Finding a pinpoint accurate guitar tuner isn’t easy and when I found this one, I was blown away, not just buy the good feedback it has, but for the price, I’m very pleased with the value.

The visual metronome feature is nice, I’ve used it when I’m teaching my nephew how to play and tune and the visual is a huge help to beginners, I’m trying to teach him to understand the basic principles and for the price, I’ve already bought one of the guitar tuners for him for his last birthday – a gift that he’s put to good use and appreciated, for a change. I like how simple the design is – it’s very basic, but has everything you need to tune your guitar properly.

Another very good point of the Snark tuner – it’s more than a chromatic tuner, it tunes well from any note, responds immediately to any pitch change and it’s pitch indication is crystal clear. I’ve used a few other guitar tuners in my day, but for the pure functionality of the device, this one is the most solid and reliable one I’ve found on the market – at a low to mid price range. Since many of the guitar tuners I’ve used in the past have been somewhat tempermental, I’ve learned not to shell out too much money, in case they don’t like up to their hype.

I used to take a thin cotton cloth and wipe the guitar strings up and down, and slide the thin cloth under the strings as well to remove the dirt as best as I could. I needed a really nice quality portable audio recorder; one that I wouldn’t be ashamed to print right to CD. I did my homework on line like you’re doing now, and finally chose this Zoom H2. But when I got it out of the box and realized that not only could I get amazing quality stereo recordings from the built in mics (blew my friends minds when I handed them my headphones) but I could also record 4 track surround sound, because there are actually four mics in this thing, all angled for optimum imaging.

So I sat down and started reading the manual, only to be amazed that not only does this thing record, but it has multiple compressor and limited options, built in metronome and guitar tuner, ability to do all kinds of editing with your files like normalizing, dividing tracks, changing encoding formats, easy dump to computer and back to H2 via USB. The line in stereo recorder works amazingly… I recorded our band from my monitor mix and it actually sounded better than our album!

The only drawback, for me, is that I find the display a little hard to see. But I have some vision trouble to begin with, so you may not encounter this problem. One last thing… get a big memory card, like an 8 gig. I did a lot of recording out in nature this summer and when you play it back at home you would swear your standing in a grove of cedars with the birds chirping or by the shore of the lake with the waves lapping. The metronome is a device that has long been used by musicians to ensure that they are playing at a steady tempo, and is very often used as a learning tool for those who are just learning to play. The old style metronomes were of a pyramid shape, and had a ticker that would move from side to side whilst keeping the beats per minute (BPM) at a steady pace. It’s a tool that been around for centuries, but it has been given a modern twist with the introduction of the Korg TM-40 Digital Tuner and Metronome.

The tuner has a detection range id C1-C8 (32.7hz to 4186.01hz), which means that it is perfect for any type of instrument from keyboard to string. The Good

This string winder is very well designed. It is larger than other ordinary peg winder and more comfortable to hold. The pin puller works smoothly without harming your guitar. The bottom part of it is very thin and it slides under the pin very easily. The winder part has smooth motion and does not come unscrewed constantly.

The Bad

The only drawback of this string winder is the price. With its combo function and ergonomic shape, the price is higher than the dollar version of the peg winder.

Overall, this 3-in-1 string winder does the job very efficiently. I would say every guitar player should have one of this with him. It is indeed value for the money. Read more user reviews.

The string winder is larger and more comfortable to hold that any of the ‘cheap’ winders you buy at music stores. The winder part has smooth motion and the cutter works much better than expected. I thought maybe it would bend the strings rather than cut them. But so far, it snips cleanly through the strings and gets pretty close tot he peg head. Many people tend to focus on choosing the best acoustic guitar strings for their instrument. But they did not realize that beside string selection, guitar picks will also make a huge difference on the sound. Choosing your best guitar picks is actually an important part in guitar playing.

A guitar pick is your instrument’s best pal. You use it to strum on your stringed instrument to produce sound. This tiny little thing is usually made by various kind of material like plastic, stone, wood, rubber, etc. They are often shaped into rounded triangle and come with different kind of thickness. When you go to music store you will find there are almost 100 different types of guitar picks displaying in front of you. I’m sure you will feel a little overwhelm and confuse to make you selection.

In general, major differences in guitar picks are:

• Material: Plastic, wood, metal, stone, etc
• Design – grids, holes, etc
• Size – small, medium, large
• Thickness / Weight – light, med-light, medium, med-heavy, heavy
• Edge modification – Bevels, rounding etc.

The thinner a guitar pick, the brighter the sound. If you use a thicker picks, you will get mellow and warmer sound. As for the pick’s edge, more rounded tip usually sounds mellower. If it is more pointed tip, you will get a brighter tone. Different materials, designs and shapes produce different tones. They also play a part in user comfort and playability.

So what is the best guitar picks? This is subject to personal preference. To me, I use thin guitar picks for strumming and mediums for picking. Dunlop Tortex is one of my all time favorite. These guitar picks feel good in your fingertips and won’t slip out of your hand easily. They produce great sounds too.

My advice to you is to buy an assortment of cheaper guitar picks in different materials and thicknesses, and take notes on which produce the sound and projection you prefer. Guitar picks are generally cheap investment and you can actually have as much experiment as you can before you stick to your best guitar picks.
